With Christmas also almost here, why not delve into the awesomeness that is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Pairing Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer under Shane Black’s writing, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang proves to be one of the most entertaining off-beat Christmas films there is. As I just said, the pairing of the actors mentioned above is just perfect as they are able to play off each other under the directorial vision of Black, giving us one amazing dialogue scenes and some incredibly memorable comebacks from their banter. This review wouldn’t due the movie justice if I didn’t mention how great Michelle Monaghan is in this role, and also how well she delivers with her portions of banter with Downey Jr. As for the story, its that maddening neo-noir feel we’ve come to expect from films attempting a noir feel nowadays, cases overlap, there’s a private detective, it all ties nicely in the end, and its fun all the way through. I don’t know what else to say about Kiss Kiss Bang Bang apart from it being an incredible entertaining ride through the neo-noir feeling Christmas land Shane Black has plaster on the screen, leading me to rank it a 79 out of 100.
