Breathless Review

Jean Lucc-Godard’s Breathless is a masterpiece of the French New Wave. By placing such a contained story in such a beautiful setting, Goddard makes the film much more grand in scale, adding beautiful views and clothing to accompany every scene in the film. But its not only the beautiful scenario we have in this film, the acting is great, the story is captivating, the dialogue is natural, yet intelligent, the leading roles’ chemistry works perfectly, and most notably the camera-work in this film is still superior to that of most films that come out these days. As I have stated everything about Breathless is wonderful, a truly breathtaking artistic film, probably the best depiction of The French New Wave there is, and a 99 out of 100.
