The Snowtown Murders Review

Screen Shot 2015-08-13 at 12.03.58 AM    This film is extremely hard to watch, but if you’re patient and are willing to sit through some graphic imagery, it will pay off. Snowtown is one of the most powerful movies I’ve seen in some time, a film that truly sticks with you and makes you question serious issues. Dealing with pedophiles, abuse, brutalization of other humans beings, where the border between pay-back and sadistic joy lies, where the line between being a vigilante and being a monster can be identified. But what makes Snowtown the great film that it is lies with its direction, even though it might feel slow at times, Kurzel managed to get brilliant performaces, set an eerie, desolate, and bleak atmosphere perfectly, while making you feel disturbed more and more as the film intensified. Even though I think it is a film everyone should watch, it is a tough watch and due to its crude nature and slow pace at times, this film shall be rated as an 81 out of 100
