A Clockwork Orange Review

Screen Shot 2015-08-10 at 11.10.14 AM       A Clockwork Orange is one of the two films that made me love film, made Kubrick my favorite director, and personally, A Clockwork Orange is my favorite of Kubrick’s films. Like any Kubrick film, A Clockwork Orange is beautiful, the costumes, set designs, and colloquialisms  instantly place you in this dystopian society, and as Kubrick always does, Kubrick got brilliant performances from everyone, truly bringing out something different from every actor on set, especially Malcolm McDowell. McDowell becomes possessed by Alex, transforms into his character, and brilliantly portrayed a near perfect character arc directed by Kubrick. The unusual feel of this film, how different it is from any of Kubrick’s film is why this is my favorite Kubrick film, ranking it as a 94 out of 100.
