SuperMensch: The Legend Of Shep Gordon Review

Screen Shot 2015-08-02 at 1.02.41 PM      Supermensch is a very important film, for it reintroduces Mike Myers to the public in a new light, a documentarian, making you forget about his two latest projects before SupermenschSupermensch is an incredibly energetic film that goes in depth into the life of Shep Gordon, all the atrocities he did, all the marvelous things he did, and how he redeemed himself by dedicating himself to care for others. It is truly fascinating and perfectly illustrates its main topic, but by starting the film with such a vibrant energy, some of the more slower sections of the documentary do feel subpar to the rest of the film. Overall, Supermensch is an exhilarating thrill ride with some tonal difficulties, but since it perfectly conveys the legend of Shep Gordon by explaining his life in detail in a way that didn’t feel boring, Supermensch gets an 77 out of 100, distinguishing itself as a very fun and unique documentary.
