Minions Review

Screen Shot 2015-07-12 at 7.32.41 PM    Minions is a trip, but not like a mind-blowing, life-changing 2001 A Space Odyssey trip, but rather a bizarre trip with odd hypnosis scenes, some joyous scenes, and Godzilla sized banana-like people. The film isn’t good, it might contain, literally, one or two chuckles for the parents in the audience, but it is a film made for children, centered on making kids laugh. It isn’t a horrible experience, but it isn’t good either, Minions sort of sits in a weird position, therefore I rank it a 50 out of 100. Minions was clearly made for children and if you enjoy tiny yellow creatures speaking gibberish you’ll have a blast, but if you’re not five you’ll probably begin to sink into a silent slumber.
